We've just launched our
new Soil Remediation Blog.
Let us know what you think!
At Soilutions we specialise in soil remediation. The majority of services we provide come under the umbrella of soil remediation, these include Bioremediation, Chemcial Oxidation, Soil Stabilisation, all of which are listed on our services page.
What is Soil Remediation?
Soil remediation, from an environmental perspective, is the reduction of contaminant concentrations within soil.
Why remediate soils?
The aim of soil remediation works is to reduce contaminants to levels which are 'suitable for use' for your site, meaning you can use your site without environmental risks. As an example a client contacts us following the identification of an environmental risk. Concentrations of hydrocarbons in soils have been confirmed as being above safe levels for human health and as such must be dealt with before development of the site as a residential housing estate. In this situation remediation of soils may be a condition for planning consent.
Which service is right for your site?
This is where we come in to our element, as you will see if you've read the list of services we provide, there are plenty of options of which one or a combination of techniques would answer this question. A brief chat can generally get you looking in the right direction, we obviously prefer as much information as possible regarding the contaminant(s) on your site, their concentration(s), location(s), target levels, timeframes etc.. Don't worry if you don't have this information, we almost always faced with several unknowns.
Drop us a line (0131 538 8456) or an e-mail (info@soilutions.co.uk), our staff have over 30 years of experience in the field and we're all happy to discuss you soil remediation.
